San Diego County public health officials reported 104 new COVID-19 infections Friday and one more death from the pandemic disease.

The new data increased the county’s total number of coronavirus cases to 282,156. The death toll ticked up to 3,779.

Of 7,991 tests reported by the county on Friday, 1.3% returned positive. The 14-day rolling average percentage of positive cases is 0.9%.

The number of fully vaccinated residents reached 1,840,749, so the county is now at 87.6% of the official goal to vaccinate 2.1 million people ages 12 and older.
