CBRE Facilitates $6.83M Office Building Sale – San Diego Business Journal
CBRE has brokered the sale of 330 A Street, a single-story office building in downtown San Diego. The property was sold to the San Diego County Bar Association for $6.83 million.
Jeff Oesterblad and Marc Frederick of CBRE’s San Diego office represented the seller, 330 A Street LLC, in the transaction. Tom Nicholas and Jack Blumenfeld of Colliers represented the buyer.
“330 A Street is the most improved single-tenant office building in the downtown San Diego area,” said CBRE’s Frederick. “It provides the buyer with a new first-class, highly visible headquarters in the heart of the city.”
The single-tenant 9,000-square-foot building was initially constructed in 1962 and completely renovated in 2011 into its current creative office design, adding a rooftop terrace. The building is situated on a 10,000-square-foot parcel on the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and A Street.
The property is located in the downtown financial district. Centrally located, the building is within walking distance from the Gaslamp Quarter and the East Village.
CBRE’s third-quarter research notes that office investment in San Diego has already outpaced 2021’s total. New construction continues to flourish downtown, with 270,000 square feet under construction, as companies still are determining how much space is needed for a more hybrid workforce.
