After a hot start to the 2021 season, the Arizona State football team was projected to end up in the Rose Bowl or Fiesta Bowl in some early college football bowl projections.

The Sun Devils have cooled off, and so have their bowl projections.

The Holiday Bowl in San Diego is now a popular bowl destination pick for Herm Edward’s team, with Miami and Pittsburgh popular projected opponents.

ASU (6-3 overall, 4-2 Pac-12) is also predicted to land in the Las Vegas Bowl and the Alamo Bowl in recent projections.

ASU still plays at Washington and Oregon State and hosts Arizona to conclude the regular season.

San Diego (home of the Holiday Bowl) and Las Vegas are nice (as is San Antonio, the home of the Alamo Bowl), but not still having a shot at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. or the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona has to be a downer for Arizona State fans.
